Abstract

This study aims to determine the "Influence of the Librarian's Code of Ethics on Visitor Intention at the SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang Library." The research question is whether the librarian's code of ethics influences visitor intention at the SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang Library. This study aims to determine the influence of the librarian's code of ethics on visitor intention at the SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang Library. The method used is quantitative. Data were obtained through observation and questionnaires with a sample of 81 out of a population of 1,340. Data were then analyzed using data analysis techniques. The data were processed through editing, tabulation, and descriptive analysis. The results of this study state that the Code of Ethics of Librarians at SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang results in an average value scale of 3.26, the results of research related to the Interest of Visiting Users at the SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang Library based on the theory of the papyrus journal entitled factors that influence student interest in visiting the South Central Timor regional library. In this study, it is categorized as strongly agree where the results of the processed data get the highest value of 3.56 with an average value scale of 3.30. from the results of the code of ethics and interest in visiting, the researchers got the result that the influence of the librarian's code of ethics on the interest in visiting users at SMA Negeri 1 Kepahiang From the results of the simple linear regression test, the results showed F results (Interest in Visiting) = 6.383 and the calculated F value (Code of ethics) = 0.184, which means that F results are greater than F count, it is stated that there is a positive influence of the Code of ethics on Interest in Visiting. This can be seen from the assessment categories listed in the discussion section of Chapter IV. In line with the above conclusions, it is expected that the higher the quality of service, the greater the influence on users' interest in continuing to visit the library.
