Abstract

ABSTRACT Aulia Yurika Hafiva, 2023 :The Implementation of Language Environment Arranged by English Study Program Advisor : Jumatul Hidayah, M.Pd Co-advisor : Sarwo Edy, M.Pd The language environment is happening that happens in understudies' language advancement. There are some types of the language environment at IIAIN Curup. The problem in this research was 1) To investigate the language environment arranged by the English Tadris Study program of IAIN Curup. 2) To investigate the students' opinions on Language Environment. The type of this research is qualitative design. The subject was students are second, the fourth and sixth-semester TBI students at IAIN Curup consisting of 60 students. The technique of data collecting was observation and interview and analysis data technique by data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion The result show: 1) The language environment arranged by the English Tadris Study program of IAIN Curup in English zone and Speaking Community English Tadris Study program of IAIN Curup has create naturalness of the environment, Concreting referents availability used target language model and for example TBI make students communication with English everywhere so, students focused on communication than the regulation of linguistic forms both of in English Zone and Speaking Community. As Communication rule, some communication rule in English zone in English zone students using English. In Concreting referents availability, Students required certain amenities, such as a Wi-Fi connection in addition to a computer room, electronic dictionaries and translator applications, downloaded an application to learn English or watch videos on YouTube or watch videos and applications related to English. Forth, Target language model: Students have never hesitated to invite others to learn English, whether they are seniors or female or male lecturers but it not for of the Speaking Community 2) The students' opinions on Language Environment at English Study program of IAIN Curup the language environment in IAIN Curup have some perception for their students. For example: The language is good and improve students speaking. For the negatives maybe this program there is some indiscipline for notice students on violation.
