Abstract

Halal certification has become an important aspect in the business world, especially for the food industry. This certification process is not only related to compliance with religious rules, but also plays a role in increasing the competitiveness of micro businesses in the food sector. This research aims to determine the impact of halal certification in increasing the competitiveness of micro businesses in the food sector in the villages of Tebat Monok and Kampung Bogor. This research uses field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data sources in this research are primary data and secondary data. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of research on micro businesses in Tebat Monok Village and Kampung Bogor show that having halal certification for food products is very important, because it reflects the guarantee of the quality and halalness of the raw materials used. The halal logo displayed on the packaging of the products they offer can have a good impact and have a positive impact on consumer confidence and product competitiveness in the market. Halal certification is proven to provide significant added value in strengthening competitiveness, attracting customers and maintaining their loyalty. In addition, halal certification opens up wider market opportunities, although it does not have a direct impact on competitive prices or labor productivity.
