Abstract

Efrry Kurniawan, NIM 22861011, Management of Bin Baz Method-Based Tahsin Tahfidz Al Qur'an Learning in Improving the Quality of Students' Recitation at SD IT Rejang Lebong, thesis, Magister Program of IAIN Curup, Islamic Education Management (MPI), 2024, 209 pages. Memorizing and Reading the Qur'an is vastly different from memorizing books, dictionaries, or other readings. Memorizing the Qur'an requires fluency and correct pronunciation in Tajweed, because different ways of pronouncing the letters can change the meaning. Therefore, one important field of study is the Teaching of Qur’anic Recitation and Memorization (Tahsin Tahfidz). A common phenomenon is that when students want to take entrance tests to famous Islamic boarding schools, or for selection tests for entry into Islamic University of Madinah or prestigious universities in the Middle East, the admissions committees often do not consider the number of memorized verses a candidate has, but rather the quality of the recitation. Hence, SDIT Bin Baz Rejang Lebong uses the Bin Baz Method to focus on improving the quality of students' Qur'anic recitation in the teaching of Qur'anic Recitation and Memorization. This research utilizes a descriptive qualitative case study. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation involving the Principal, Vice Principal for Curriculum, Tahsin Tahfidz Al Qur'an Coordinator, and teachers responsible for each study circle (halaqah). Field observations and the collection of documentation, such as photographs of activities, pertain to the planning, implementation, organization, and challenges in Bin Baz Method-based Tahsin Tahfidz Al Qur'an learning. Data validity testing is carried out using observation persistence and source and technique triangulation. This research also uses books, journals, and other supporting documents as secondary subjects of the study. The results of the research indicate that the management of Tahsin Tahfidz Al Qur'an Learning at SDIT Bin Baz Rejang Lebong in planning, implementation, and organization has been well-executed. However, a significant challenge is the lack of human resources capable of teaching Tahsin Tahfidz based on the Bin Baz Method. Consequently, the school employs teachers on a temporary service basis, which results in a turnover of teachers every year. This presents challenges in the learning process, as new teachers sometimes struggle with adaptation, communication with students, and understanding educational administration. The implications of this research can assist SDIT Bin Baz Rejang Lebong and other educational institutions in managing Tahsin Tahfidz Al Qur'an learning, particularly using the Bin Baz Method.
