Abstract
ABSTRACT WULANDARI EKAWIJAYA 2023 : The Effect of Think-Talk-write Technique on Students’ Writing Skill (A Quasi-Experimental Study at the Eleventh Grade of MAN 2 Lebong) Advisor : Dr. Eka Apriani, M.Pd Co-Advisor : Dr. Paidi Gusmuliana, M.Pd This study aimed to find the effect of Think-Talk-Write (TTW) technique on students’ writing skill of MAN 2 Lebong. The goals of this research are to find out the effect of TTW technique on students’ writing skill and to find out the significant difference between the students who taught by using TTW technique and those who are not. This research used quasi-experimental method with quantitative approach. Sample of the research were 40 students in grade eleventh. 20 students in class IPA were sampled as experimental class and 20 students in class IPS 1 were sampled as control class. The data collection is used pre-test and post-test. Data analysis is using writing test. The pre-test is given to both groups before given the treatment. Then after giving the treatment for eight materials the post-test administrated for both groups. The mean score of post-test result in experimental group is 69.25 and the mean score in control group is 55.75. the result showed that there is an increase for the score significantly. It means the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. To sum up, it can be concluded that TTW technique enhances students’ writing skill and there is significant difference between students who taught by using TTW technique and those who are not.
