Abstract
The Implementation of Zakat Profession Among Civil Servants, Kantor Kementerian Agama district, is number: 81 0f 2017 Zakat, Infaq and Shodaqoh is a contemporary development, which is due to the modern professions that are very easy to make money. For example, the profession of medicine, consultants, lawyers, professors, architects, and so forth.This study aims to determine the implementation of zakat profession in accordance with Law No 38 of 1999 on the management of zakat, as well as factors that hinder the implementation of zakat profession among civil servants, military and police in the District of Kabupaten Musi Rawas Utara.. The research was carried on by taking informants from civil servants, teachers, military, police in the District of Kabupaten Musi Rawas Utara, with a qualitative approach and collecting data and in-depth interviews, observation, and study the document.This study found that, the implementation of collecting zakat by Unit Pengumpul Zakat (UPZ) Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Musi Rawas Utara district was not ap propriate with Law number 38 year 1999 concerning the management of zakat. Likewise, the implementation of zakat by civil servants, military and policein the District of Kabupaten Musi Rawas Utara, not all of the civil servants, teachers, military, police, conduct his zakat profession.Low realization of zakat profession among civil servants, military and policein the District of Kabupaten Musi Rawas Utara due to some inhibiting factors, they are: lack of understanding of zakat law profession, lack of awareness among civil servants, military and policein carrying out zakat law, lack of socialization on zakat law and fatwa Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI ) of the zakat income.
