Abstract

The focus of this research is the verses related to homosexuals and lesbians, then from the collected verses it can be seen whether the implied meaning in them. The purpose of this research is to explain what the understanding of homosexual behavior in the Koran is, how the interpreters of the verses regarding homosexuals and lesbians and how to overcome homosexuality. This research is included in library research (library research), which is collecting data through reading, exegesis books and literature that have relevance to the research title. This research uses the Maudu'i method. Tafsir maudhu'i is a method of interpretation that collects verses of the Koran based on a predetermined topic or theme, all the verses are compiled based on their descent, then they are studied in depth and thoroughly from various aspects that can be explored. The meaning of homosexuality in the Koran is a man who comes to a man to vent his lust, where it deviates from the norm and is a despicable act that can destroy human reason and morals. As for the way to overcome this despicable act is to pray and pray, dhikr with the Koran and worship diligently, repent, stay away from immorality, seriously fight lust, be patient, marry and cultivate a sense of love.
