Abstract

This study investigated the effect of video to improve vocabulary mastery at SMPN 19 Rejang Lebong. this study was employed asa quasi experiment study which involve two group, the were experient and control group. The rsearcher took the sample of this study by using homogeneous sampling the sample were VII C as the control group which consisted of 27 student and VII E as the xprimental group which consisted of 28 student. Student vocabulary mastery was measure by using test. In analizing the data , the resarcher use t-test in order to know the resultand the significant effect between two variable. This study revealed several finding. there was significan effect between the student who were taught by conventional teaching. It could be seen from thee post test result of these two group. The mean score of the experimental group was (55,36) and measn score of control group was (50,92). based on the result obtained (3.381) while t-table. It concluded that t test obtained was higer that t-table (3,381>2, 006). finally its could be concluded that video technique had effect improve vocabulary mastery.
